Artist's Description

Flowers are not normally my preferred subject. That said, while playing around, I ended up with an image that looked an awful lot like a flower... and I actually liked it. It is not even close to the image I had intended to generate. I was going for something a lot more structured and industrial looking. Mostly just playing around, trying to learn a few more techniques with Blender. I had started with Ai, creating some basic vector shapes. Then I imported the shapes into Blender and started extruding, duplicating, scaling, etc.

Everything was going according to plan until I applied a modifier (the Ocean modifier - one of my favorites) and started messing with the settings. The more I changed, the more this flower started to emerge. I really liked the distorted edges and creases that the modifier added and that was it. In Ps, I took the rendered image, reduced the noise (my PC is old and I could not render a clear enough image from Blender without using up my computer for the n...
